Maldon Salt

Salt extracted from seawater from the Essex coast. The Domesday Book lists many salt pans in Essex, and the industry is recorded in place names like Gore Saltings, Saltcote Hall and Salcotte. Only one company, Maldon Crystal Salt, remains.
