Westmorland Sausage

Sausages

A large diameter coarse pork sausage with herbs, high spicing and very little breadcrumb. Sometimes linked, sometimes coiled as with the Cumberland sausage.

The name does not seem to be known before 1990. The Cumberland and Westmorland Sausage Company describe it as having "a distinctive taste, not unlike the Lincolnshire sausage."
