Padiham Pie

Meat and Meat Dishes
Lancashire

Minced beef and onion with tomato and baked beans under a lid of sliced potatoes sprinkled with cheese, baked.

Well known from local reports and newspapers since c1990, this dish is repeatedly titled "Padiham Pie - Never On A Tuesday", as, being made on Monday of left-over Sunday roast, it is too delicious to last 'till Tuesday.
