Minted Lamb

Meat and Meat Dishes

Any type of roast sheep-meat joint or piece flavoured with mint.

Known by exactly this name at least since the poem 'Melancholoy Misgivings..' of 1892; "the minted lamb tasteless grow I do not eat but cram; Side dishes fall and gooseberry tart in vain. Varnished with cream, would steal away my pain"
