English Potato Balls

Small mashed potato balls coated in crumb and fried (Acton 1845)

Potato Balls.

Mix mashed potato with the yolk of an egg, form them into balls, flour them, or egg and bread crumb them and fry them in clean dripping, or brown them in a Dutch oven.
