Dorking Fowl

Poultry
Surrey

A distinctive breed of chicken, compact with a very plump breast, said to carry more meat in proportion to its size than any other fowl, and the curious feature of having five, not four, claws. Its eggs were said to be a favourite with Queen Victoria.

Standard Dorking Fowls from Prang's 'Poultry of the World'
