Dolly Mixture

Sweets and Toffee

Mixture of tiny assorted sweets, commonly including a large proportion of multi-coloured soft fondant cubes (c3/8ins) and rounded jellies.

Known at least since the 1940's, the name has been traced, not to sweets suitable for feeding to toy dolls, but to the Anglo-Indian term for "a complimentary offering of sweetmeats."
