Crown Pie

Pies and Pastries

Double-crust pie made by placing filling on a sheet of, usually flaky, pastry, covering it with a smaller piece of pastry and then and folding the lower part up to encase the pie in such a way that a crown of pastry points is formed. Common fillings include minced pork or beef chunk.
