Chocolate Concrete

Biscuits

(Or Chocolate Crunch, Concrete Crunch)

Tray-baked dense shortcake of flour, butter, sugar and cocoa powder, sometimes speckled with crushed biscuit or coconut, baked c1ins thick and cut into squares. A school-dinners staple of the 1970's, commonly served as a desert with Pink Custard.

CHOCOLATE CONCRETE

8oz Plain flour
2 oz cocoa (or drinking chocolate)
4 oz sugar
4 oz melted butter

Mix all dry ingredients together
Add melted butter and mix together
Put into a 7" greased tin and cook - gas mark 3 for approx 45 mins.
Traditionaly served with Pink Custard
