Bitter Beer or Ale

Drinks

A medium copper coloured beer, made from malt, with a strong bitter taste from hops.

English beer is still substantially characterised by a dark malty colour, brewed by the warm top fermentation method and very often cask conditioned, where the beer finishes its maturing in casks in the cellar of the pub rather than at the brewery.
