Beef Hare
Meat and Meat Dishes

Chunks of beef cooked with celery seeds, cloves, onion and grated parsnip, supposedly imitating the flavour of hare. 'Food in England' by Dorothy Hartley (Hartley 1954) has the beef cut into thin strips.
